How to show hidden files

How to show hidden files:

We can show hidden files and folders easily by going Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Folder Options > view and then selecting “Show hidden files and folders, and drivers” and clicking apply.

However, sometimes virus like malware prevents to show hidden files and folders. In this case, that method will fail to show hidden files.

Are you thinking how to show hidden files in this case?
Do not worry about it. It’s easy! Just follow the following steps:

Step 1:

Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt

A box will appear like this


Step 2:

Type the drive name where the hidden files are. For example, you have hidden files or folders on drive F.
Then type F: and press enter.
This will look like the following picture


Step 3:

Does it seem a big process? Not at all! It’s the last step.
Now type attrib -s -h -r /s /d and press enter.

Done! You made it! Check your files.
